Humor, hope dreams and intimate exchanges are the inspirations leading me to my studio each day. My job: capture these feelings in clay.
This magical process from idea to finished artwork is very hands on. Each piece is unique and can be enjoyed outside or inside for years and years to come.
They make great gifts and are my gift to you.
I was trained in Texas at the University, then in Bengal, India, then in Hollywood with the movie industry for a while. I began this enterprise in 1990. I am a nomad. I create artwork then travel to Art Fairs nationally where I sell them and make new friends. Creating Art is my internal adventure- Selling it is my external adventure- Life is an adventure.
Sculpting is like painting in the third dimension. Each piece begins as a ball of clay in my hands.
After taking form, I coat each piece with rubber to make a mold.
I then cast cast using a cushed quartz and finely ground cement. I add the magic "fu fu" dust to the mix for durability and mystery--this is tough stuff!
Next, I acid etch each piece and stain them.
After each piece is hand stained several times, I let them dry in the hot Florida sunlight.
My art work in the Gallery is all available at shows; but the star pieces are available to ship. Contact me for sizes and prices.
All of these pieces are available to buy at my shows
